Shwebo farmhouse sits on the beautiful stretch of more than 200 acres of corps land and natural forest in Shwebo district of Sagaing Region. The farmhouse is located 20km vicinity of famous AnyarThihataw pagoda and less than an hour driving distance from Shwebo town center. Then would-be Shwebo farmhouse members have been nurturing these plantation and natural forest more than half a decade.

Local seasonal crops and oil seeds

Groundnuts, sesame, pigeon pea are vital cash crops for our farmers in the area. Harvests go for direct sales up the supply chain and some oil seeds are processed. Water resources management is of most importance as public irrigation canal network is out of our reach. Solar system is partly supporting our irrigation system.

Native draught cattle breeding

Shwebo farmhouse is determined to become successful native draught cattle breeding farm in the region. Of two main Myanmar cattle breed, ‘Pyar Sein’ is much more dominant than ‘Shwe Ni’ in Sagaing region. Native draught cattle breeding is partly conservation of Myanmar draught cattle population which vastly diminished by exporting to neighboring countries.
